Top Vision Advice From Shreeya

I believe in giving my clients the best possible eye care whilst making the whole experience enjoyable and personal.

Our Senior Optometrist, Shreeya Barot, has been a member of the Central Vision Opticians team for over 2 years. Shreeya graduated from Cardiff University in 1998 with BSc(Hons) in Optometry and has gained invaluable experience through working at independent and high street opticians. She is clinically driven and passionate in all aspects of ocular conditions specifically in glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy. With over 18 years experience, Shreeya understands the importance of taking the time to listen to the concerns of patients and ensuring that they are fully addressed during the consultation. She aims to customise the eye examinations to each individual’s needs and ensures that all patients have a clear understanding of every step of the process, together with recommendations of optical products or advising on appropriate eye care.

My top tips for looking after your eyes:

Protect your eyes from harmful UV. Wear sunglasses or photochromic specs.
Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Especially generous amounts fruit and colourful (or dark green) vegetables.
Take regular breaks when using a VDU/computer or smartphone.
Have regular eye exams. At least one every 2 years.
Exercise regularly.
